A haven for foodies
Foodies will love it here. In Ottery St Mary (within walking distance) you’ll find the acclaimed Rusty Pig feasting house, run by former River Cottage chef Robin Rea. We supply Robin with our free-range pork and can thoroughly recommend the cocktails, fun vibe and rustic charm of their ever-changing menu.
Our pork also finds its way onto the menu at The Pig at Combe, in nearby Gittisham. Here you can choose between the charming wood-panelled restaurant within the Elizabethan manor house or drop in to The Folly for wood-fired flatbreads and light eats. Much of the produce is sourced from their own walled gardens.
Fish is naturally a speciality in our part of the world and chef Mitch Tonks gets our vote for his super-fresh seafood at Rockfish on the beach front in Exmouth. You’ll never forget a meal at The River Exe Café, situated in the middle of the Exe Estuary on a large river barge, accessible by water taxi from Exmouth marina. Try to book in time for sunset over the water!
